Trump's administration is in discussion with Samsung to open more chip manufacturing facilities in the United States

Officials from President Donald Trump's administration is in discussion with the South Korean manufacturer Samsung on setting up more semiconductor manufacturing facilities in the United States. In the past we heard that the White House had approached Intel and TSMC to talk about building factories in the stateside, following the COVID-19 outbreak and also the increasing diplomatic tension between US and China, as they are one of the world's largest supply chain in the industry.

Oppo, Samsung, Vivo and Xiaomi (Foxconn) resumes operations at their manufacturing facilities in India

Multinational manufacturers Oppo, Samsung, Vivo and Xiaomi had to halt their production in India following an announcement of a nation-wide lockdown imposed by the government of India. However with the recently announced relaxations for green and orange zones in the country and the government slowly lifting restrictions, these manufacturer have resumed operations at their respective factories across the country in limited capacity. Xiaomi's manufacturing partner Foxconn have also received permission to resume production at their factory in Andhra Pradesh state.

AT&T and Xfinity Mobile will both offer the device with 128GB storage in Prism Crush Black, at $399.99 full or at $13.34/monthly on 30 months contract from AT&T and at $12.50/monthly on 24 months agreement from Xfinity Mobile, both at 0% APR.

Samsung donates ₹40 crore to India in fight against Coronavirus

Samsung Electronics took a big step in fighting the novel Coronavirus pandemic in India, the company donated 20 crore INR ($2.6 million USD) to the Union and State governments of the country. The manufacturer have also donated another 15 crore INR (1.9 million USD) to the PM Cares Fund that was originally established on March 28. Further more the company will also donate 5 crore INR ($654108 USD) to the state governments of Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Samsung officially ends their S Voice assistant service

Samsung announced that, according to the internal operation policy, the company will no longer support S Voice Service from June 1, 2020. All Samsung smartphones and tablets with the S Voice app on the application screen will be affected by this termination. Samsung also requests all users of their wearables Gear S3, Gear Sport to upgrade S Voice to Bixby after June 1. They have already made Bixby available for Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Active with the latest SW.
