Qualcomm announced latest Snapdragon 768G mobile platform, an upgrade over their lately announced Snapdragon 765G processor, again coming with integrated Snapdragon X52 5G Modem-RF system supporting advanced 5G connectivity. The chipset packs Kryo 475 CPU with clock speeds upto 2.8GHz and features Adreno 620 GPU, also making this is the first 7-series platform to support Adreno's updateable GPU drivers. The new Snapdragon 768G Elite Gaming SoC can support 120Hz display and upto 64MP camera with 5th generation AI engine.

President Donald Trump's administration is negotiating with semiconductor manufacturers including Intel and TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) about building manufacturing facilities in the United States as said by representatives from the companies. The news comes in following the Coronavirus outbreak and the increasing diplomatic strain between US and China. TSMC is also talking to Apple, who is one of it's largest customer and with US Department of Commerce regarding their plans.

MediaTek unveiled latest Helio G85 mobile gaming-focused chipset with dual-SIM 4G LTE capabilities, also featuring AI camera enhancements supporting sensor sizes up to 48MP and advanced voice wake-up (VoW) feature. The new processor from the MediaTek's Gaming G family integrates an Octa-Core CPU with two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores, alongside an ARM Mali-G52 1GHz GPU and HyperEngine for powerful performance and smooth gaming.

HiSilicon announced latest and high energy efficient Kirin 985 Octa-Core chipset. The processor is manufactured using TSMC’s 7nm process technology integrating single-chip 5G base-band solution that supports 2G/3G/4G networks along with dual-mode capable SA/NSA 5G connectivity. The SoC will offer maximum downlink speeds of 1277Mbps and uplink speeds of 173Mbps, with four Cortex-A76 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores, and an Octa-Core Mali-G77 GPU. The vanilla Honor 30 is the first smartphone to bring this newly launched processor to the market.
