Yesterday Apple announced that the company will reopen their retail stores across Germany starting May 11. The manufacturer have also announced that they will implement enhanced health and safety measures at their stores in the country, that includes temperature scanning, limited entry to customers at once following the social distancing guidelines and reduced hours of operation.

Apple is looking forward to reopen some of their retail stores in the United States starting next week. According to a representative from the company, Apple is planning to open their stores in Idaho, South Carolina, Alabama and Alaska region in the coming week. Customers will have to go through temperature checks and Apple will only allow a limited number of people in their stores at once to maintain the social distancing.

Apple announces that the company will host their annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2020 virtually amid COVID-19 crises, beginning from June 22. The event will be livestreaming on Apple Developer app as well as on Apple Developer website for free for all developers for the first time. In a recent interview, Apple's CEO Tim Cook discussed his plans to reopen retail stores across Australia and Austria in the coming weeks. He also hopes to open a few stores in the US as well during the first half of May and made it clear that the company will make this decision only depending upon the present circumstances of the COVID-19 data. The latest iOS version 13.5 beta 3 released to developers yesterday brings a new feature that will help users unlock their iPhones easily while they still continue to wear a face mask following the Coronavirus outbreak. In the latest Exposure Notification released by Apple and Google answering the frequently asked questions of users confirms that the companies can disable the exposure notification system on a regional basis when it is no longer needed. The European Commissioner, Thierry Breton had a video conversation with Apple's CEO Tim Cook recently, where he assured Breton that the first version of the Coronavirus contact tracing technology that Apple is building in partnership with Google will be made available to developers on April 28. The API was originally scheduled to release in May, but the early release will allow developers to work on cross-platform contact tracing apps to control the further spread of this deadly virus.

Beats, subsidiary of Apple, Inc. that manufactures audio products will see a new leader starting this May. Longtime President Luke Wood will depart Beats on April 30, and the head of Apple Music and International Content, Oliver Schusser will take charge of the audio brand, while still continuing his roles at Apple. Apple announced their latest iPhone SE 2020 two days back and now we have the smartphone's pricing details for India. The phone will go on sale in the United States starting April 24 for $399, while in India it costs ₹42500 ($556) for 64GB model, ₹47800 ($626) for 128GB variant and ₹58300 ($763) for the 256GB adaption. Apple opens up a new page dedicated to healthcare providers, labs, or other business who can submit information on COVID-19 testing locations. To add a new COVID-19 testing locations to Apple Maps, all you have to do is download the CSV template from the website, then fill in with your testing location information and email the file back to Apple. Using these information, Apple will update their Maps for it's users.

As the world is battling against the deadly Coronavirus, two major technology companies have joined hands to built a new contact tracing system using Bluetooth technology to help governments and health agencies reduce the spread of the virus. Apple and Google have announced that they will introduce APIs that enable interoperability between Android and iOS devices using apps from public health authorities in May, and will work to enable a broader Bluetooth-based contact tracing platform in the following months.
